Morning or evening? Again, it depends on you. I like to exfoliate in the evening and then follow with my natural serum. Then I head to my bed with a clean pillowcase. Others want to do it in the morning so they have a fresh face!
I created this extra gentle scrub with powdered organic calendula flowers. Calendula is widely known for its healing properties. It is also an antifungal and will help with dermatitis, acne and skin inflammation. I also included Green Clay which has topical benefits including drawing out impurities from the pores and exfoliating dead skin cells. Powdered Oats complete the trio of cleaners in this scrub. Oats are soothing to the skin while drawing out the dirt and oils. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory with flavonoids that help protect the skin.
Mix with 1-2 teaspoons with your favorite moisture medium - oil, water, yogurt, milk until it forms a paste. Massage gently onto skin. Gently is the key word here! Then you can let it dry for 10 - 15 minutes for a mask, or rinse right away for the scrub. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Follow with your favorite serum or moisturizer.
You should only exfoliate 2 or 3 times per week, depending upon your skin. If you have very sensitive skin, you may only do it once a week.
