One of the best habits you can form is taking care of your skin, especially your face. Removing your makeup and washing your face EVERY night before bed is critical for your skin health.


Washing the day off your face can become a relaxing ritual. Removing the old makeup clears the way for your skin to breathe. While it is tempting to just drop into bed with out taking off the old makeup and daily grime, it is not good for your skin. Night time is the perfect time to clean off and allow your skin to breathe.


Leftover eye makeup can cause irritation and infection. Mascara especially can easily damage eyelashes and cause them to become brittle. Leaving lipstick on can cause lips to become dry and chapped, while foundation can clog pores and cause a breakdown of collagen, leading to fine lines and wrinkles. Not to mention the pollution through the day. Leaving it all on can clog your pores and increase the chance of pimples and other skin conditions.


Cleaning your face encourages exfoliation and cellular renewal. It minimizes the chances of infection and skin problems. And a familiar routine will help to calm your mind and prepare you for a good nights sleep.
